1. |
Lord Jesus, we are
troubled
And torn apart by life –
This life so fraught and complex,
So bound by hate and strife.
If only we would listen
To what you came to say –
You came to make life simple,
To show us how to pray.
|
2. |
So let’s pray
to the Father
And praise him every day.
Let’s pray for his forgiveness
To take our sins away.
You never said, Lord Jesus,
How hard this was to do
How daily we must struggle
To bring us close to you. |
|
3. |
Help us to beat the
demons
That haunt us as we live,
To cleanse our thoughts and actions
And learn our hearts to give.
Then we shall stand beside you
So you may help us fight
With greater strength the battle
To do for God what’s right.
|
4. |
We must all stand
together,
Not let our ranks divide,
Be for you, not against you,
And live life by your side.
You know, because you joined us,
The ways of humankind,
So bring us strength to counter
These ills of heart and mind.

Nah then, what did Tha say?
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done,
Aye, that’s reyt, how
to pray.
Forgive ahr mates, so Tha’ll forgive
Whatever wrongs we do.
An evry day, Tha’ll give us bread
If we tak heed of you.
Tha’ll let us into evvan —
If we knock, Tha’ll open wide.
If we seek grace, Tha’ll show Thy face
And let us step inside.

1. |
Oh Father of us
all, we pray
as Jesus taught us how.
All glory to your holy name
in reverence we bow.
Our sins that heavy on us lie
forgive us now, we pray
and help us to forgive in turn
all those who lead astray.
|
2. |
Bring us each day our
daily bread
and nurture those in need.
Let us bring thanks for all your care
and all your blessings heed.
Temptations in this world abound
to justify what’s wrong
but we shall hear your inner voice
brought by the angels’ song. |
3. |
Jesus taught that
we must ask
and that you would provide
that if we knock upon the door
we shall be brought inside.
But we must stand together now
and not be driv’n apart
to live our lives as Jesus taught
with all our mind and heart.
|
4. |
The demons that are
all around
we shall confront and fight
until together we succeed
and bring about what’s right.
We pray to Jesus, your own son
to bring us, as our friend,
out of the clamour of this life
to Heaven at life’s end.
